Dr. Jessica Backinger
Dr. Backinger and her husband, Douglas, have deep roots in Jackson, where they were born and raised. Their connection to the community is a driving force behind her passion for orthodontics and making a difference in patients' lives.
A graduate of Kalamazoo College, Dr. Backinger furthered her education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
Her dedication to the field led her to complete her orthodontic residency at the Orthodontic Department of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly UMDNJ).
Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Backinger finds joy in her family life. She and her husband, Douglas, made the decision to return to Jackson after completing their education in 2013 to start a family here.
In her leisure time, Dr. Backinger enjoys reading, exploring new destinations through travel, creating engaging TikToks, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her children, Sophia and Connor.
Her love for family, community, and orthodontics is at the heart of her mission to create beautiful smiles and inspire confidence in her patients.
